\u201cNothing about us without us\u201d – die Netzwerkausstellung in Witzenhausen<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

\u201eWir sind Medienmacher:innen mit Flucht-oder Migrationserfahrung. Wir erleben Rassismus und Diskriminierung. \u00dcber uns wird viel gesprochen, aber fast nie mit uns.\u201c Mit dem netzwerk medien.vielfalt! gibt es seit 2020 ein bundesweites Radio-und Medienprojekt, das nicht nur bestehende Leerstellen in der deutschen Medienlandschaft kritisch in den Blick nimmt, sondern diese aktiv selbst f\u00fcllt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit der Ausstellung \u201cnothing about us without us\u201d geben Medienmacher:innen und Radioredaktionen des Netzwerks Einblicke in ihre Arbeit im Freien Radio, aber auch als Podcaster:innen oder als Social Media Aktivist:innen. Die Ausstellung geht zu dem der Frage nach, wie Berichterstattung, journalistische (Nicht-)Vielfalt und mediale Repr\u00e4sentation zusammenh\u00e4ngen und welche Ideen und Bedarfe es ganz praktisch gibt um an den bestehenden Verh\u00e4ltnissen etwas zu \u00e4ndern. Und die Ausstellung gew\u00e4hrt nat\u00fcrlich Einblicke in das netzwerk medien.vialfalt! und in die gemeinsamen Aktivit\u00e4ten und Erfahrungen als bundesweiter Zusammenschluss von Radio- und Medienschaffenden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ab dem 16. Juli um 17 Uhr wird die Ausstellung in der Br\u00fcckenstra\u00dfe 14 in Witzenhausen zu sehen sein. Um 19 Uhr gibt Saher Iskaf im Stadtraum (Ermschwerder Str. 6) eine Einf\u00fchrung in das netzwerk medien.vielfalt! und zeigt seinen Kurzfilm \u201cZimmer 111\u201d. Darin geht es um eine Flucht von Syrien nach Deutschland, und um die Schwierigkeit, als Minderj\u00e4hriger alleine in ein fremdes Land anzukommen. Im Anschluss der Filmvorf\u00fchrung wird es Raum f\u00fcr Austausch geben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Ausstellung ist bis zum 7. August in Witzenhausen zu sehen. Im Rahmen der Ausstellung werden die Kopiloten aus Kassel einen Einf\u00fchrungsworkshop zum Radiomachen anbieten. N\u00e4here Informationen dazu werden noch bekannt gegeben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laut, lachend und tollpatschig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was ist wichtig \u00fcber dich zu wissen, wenn man dich kennenlernen m\u00f6chte?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kommunikation ist f\u00fcr mich das Wichtigste. Aber zu deiner Frage was man \u00fcber mich wissen sollte: Ich hatte eine sehr schwierige Kindheit, gezeichnet von Gewalt und auch von ganz vielen Krankenhausaufenthalten und Operationen. Das hei\u00dft nicht so eine leichte Kindheit und deswegen muss ich immer versuchen, positiv zu bleiben. Jede:r hat in seinem Leben Schei\u00dfe erfahren. Manche weniger, manche mehr. Ich geh\u00f6re leider zu den Leuten die mehr erfahren haben, aber eine Schei\u00df-Kindheit ist keine Ausrede, um ein Schei\u00df-Mensch zu sein oder halt Tr\u00fcbsal zu blasen. Ich muss sehr oft k\u00e4mpfen, um positiv zu bleiben. Gerade im letzten Jahr musste ich mir meine Positivit\u00e4t zur\u00fcck erk\u00e4mpfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was sind Themen, die dir sehr wichtig sind?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Integration, Inklusion, Kinderrechte, Psychologie, Feminismus und Tierrechte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du hast im Juli die Redaktion SpeakL_out gegr\u00fcndet. Was f\u00fcr ein Konzept steht hinter der Sendung?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Diskurs \u00fcber Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund wird immer noch stark \u00fcber sie statt mit ihnen gesprochen. Migrantin:innen werden immer noch nicht genug in Themen einbezogen, die unser aller Miteinander gestalten. Was zur Folge hat, dass betroffene Personen sich nicht verstanden oder sich gar in einer Ecke gedr\u00e4ngt f\u00fchlen, was einen gerechten Austausch \u00fcber Diversit\u00e4t schwierig macht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpeakL_out soll ein Gegenpol zu dieser Entwicklung sein. Gemeinsam wollen wir unsere Stadt diverser gestalten und Vorurteile abbauen. Wir wollen interkulturelle Vernetzung schaffen, ohne sich dabei selbst zu verleugnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du bist Teil vom netzwerk medien.vielfalt!. Was sind da deine unterschiedlichen Rollen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also ich bin die Radio-Koordinatorin von Radio T in Chemnitz und ich m\u00f6chte gerne in den Verein eintreten, der sich aus dem Netzwerk heraus neu gr\u00fcndet. Im Allgemeinen finde ich es gut, dass es ein Netzwerk gibt, welches Migrant:innen zeigt, dass sie nicht alleine sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und warum ich jetzt Mitglied von diesem Verein werden m\u00f6chte ist, dass nat\u00fcrlich so ein Verein f\u00fcr Migrant:innen auch von Migrant:innen in irgendeiner Art und Weise gef\u00fchrt werden muss. Migrant:innen verstehen Migrant:innen besser als nicht Migrant:innen. Nicht nur die redaktionelle Ebene soll vielf\u00e4ltig sein, sondern auch die Vereinsebene, die Ebene dar\u00fcber soll divers und vielf\u00e4ltig werden. Wenn ich mit den tausenden Randgruppen in mir den verein vielf\u00e4ltiger und bunter machen kann, dann ergreife ich nat\u00fcrlich die Gelegenheit und mach das!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was ist deine Meinung zur Colourful Voices und dem netzwerk medien.vielfalt! ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es ist etwas, was schon l\u00e4ngst h\u00e4tte passieren m\u00fcssen, auch schon vor 2020 und auch schon vor 2016! Es ist ein Netzwerk, welches es schon immer h\u00e4tte geben m\u00fcssen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was ist dein Wunsch f\u00fcr die Zukunft des Netzwerks und auch deine Zukunft im Netzwerk?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr das Netzwerk w\u00fcnsche ich mir mehr \u00d6ffentlichkeit. Man kommt ja nur \u00fcber Freie Radios oder \u00fcber Kontakte zu uns ins Netzwerk. Das war ja bei mir auch so. Ich w\u00fcnsche mir, dass wir pr\u00e4senter werden in der Mainstream-Medienlandschaft, dass auch konservativere Migrant:innen dieses Netzwerk finden und dadurch vielleicht ihr Gedankengut \u00f6ffnen und bunter anstreichen. Und auf mich bezogen: ich w\u00fcnsche mir, dass das Netzwerk mit meiner Arbeit zufrieden ist und ich will das Netzwerk weiter voranbringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir, die „Colourful Voices“, sind Medienmacher:innen mit Migrations- und Fluchterfahrung. Unter dem Dach des „netzwerk medien.vielfalt!“ erheben wir unsere Stimmen durch die Macht der Medien und schaffen uns eine Vertretung im deutschen Medienkontext. Wir berichten aus Blickwinkeln und Perspektiven, die in den Mainstream-Medien selten zu finden sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mut zum Handeln \u2013 Wissen und Bildung als Motor f\u00fcr eine gesellschaftliche Transformation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Zeitalter des Anthropoz\u00e4n ver\u00e4ndern sich die Fragen an die Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Wie wird die Geschichte von Industrialisierung und Modernisierung heute erz\u00e4hlt? Wie kann eine (be\u00e4ngstigende) Gegenwart und Zukunft kommuniziert werden? K\u00f6nnen Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft eine \u201eGro\u00dfe Transformation\u201c ansto\u00dfen? Und vor allem: woher kommt der Mut, trotz verheerender Nachrichten trotzdem weiterzumachen und f\u00fcr ein „Gutes Leben“ zu k\u00e4mpfen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Nous sommes des journalistes avec une exp\u00e9rience de fuite ou de migration. Nous faisons l’exp\u00e9rience du racisme et de la discrimination. On parle beaucoup de nous, mais presque jamais avec nous“. Avec le r\u00e9seau medien.vielfalt !, il existe depuis 2020 un projet radio et m\u00e9dia \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle nationale qui ne se contente pas de jeter un regard critique sur les vides existants dans le paysage m\u00e9diatique allemand, mais qui les remplit activement lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Avec l’exposition „nothing about us without us“, des journalistes et des r\u00e9dactions radio du r\u00e9seau donnent un aper\u00e7u de leur travail \u00e0 la radio libre, mais aussi en tant que podcasteurs ou activistes des m\u00e9dias sociaux. L’exposition aborde \u00e9galement la question de la relation entre les reportages, la (non-)diversit\u00e9 journalistique et la repr\u00e9sentation m\u00e9diatique, ainsi que les id\u00e9es et les besoins pratiques pour changer les conditions existantes. Et l’exposition donne bien s\u00fbr un aper\u00e7u du r\u00e9seau medien.vialfalt ! et des activit\u00e9s et exp\u00e9riences communes en tant que regroupement national de professionnels de la radio et des m\u00e9dias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


L’exposition sera visible \u00e0 partir du 16 juillet \u00e0 17 heures dans la Br\u00fcckenstra\u00dfe 14 \u00e0 Witzenhausen. \u00c0 19 heures, Saher Iskaf pr\u00e9sentera une introduction au r\u00e9seau medien.vielfalt ! dans l’espace urbain (Ermschwerder Str. 6) et montrera son court-m\u00e9trage „Zimmer 111“. Il y est question d’une fuite de la Syrie vers l’Allemagne, et de la difficult\u00e9 d’arriver seul dans un pays \u00e9tranger en tant que mineur. La projection sera suivie d’un temps d’\u00e9change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fatima Maged tu es BFDlerin et r\u00e9dactrice \u00e0 Radio T \u00e0 Chemnitz. Quels sont les mots qui te d\u00e9crivent ?<\/strong>
Bruyante, rieuse et maladroite.
Qu’est-ce qu’il est important de savoir sur toi si l’on veut faire ta connaissance ?<\/strong>
La communication est ce qu’il y a de plus important pour moi. Mais pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ta question sur ce qu’il faut savoir de moi : J’ai eu une enfance tr\u00e8s difficile, marqu\u00e9e par la violence et aussi par de tr\u00e8s nombreux s\u00e9jours \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital et op\u00e9rations. Cela ne signifie pas une enfance facile et c’est pourquoi je dois toujours essayer de rester positif. Tout le monde a connu la merde dans sa vie. Certains moins, d’autres plus. Je fais malheureusement partie de ceux qui en ont connu davantage, mais une enfance de merde n’est pas une excuse pour \u00eatre une personne de merde ou pour se morfondre. Je dois souvent me battre pour rester positif. L’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, j’ai d\u00fb me battre pour retrouver ma positivit\u00e9.
Quels sont les th\u00e8mes qui te tiennent \u00e0 c\u0153ur ?<\/strong>
L’int\u00e9gration, l’inclusion, les droits des enfants, la psychologie, le f\u00e9minisme et les droits des animaux.
Tu as cr\u00e9\u00e9 la r\u00e9daction SpeakL_out en juillet. Quel concept se cache derri\u00e8re cette \u00e9mission ?
Dans le discours sur les personnes issues de l’immigration, on parle encore beaucoup d’elles au lieu de parler avec elles. Les migrants ne sont toujours pas assez impliqu\u00e9s dans les th\u00e8mes qui fa\u00e7onnent notre coexistence. Par cons\u00e9quent, les personnes concern\u00e9es ne se sentent pas comprises, voire accul\u00e9es, ce qui rend difficile un \u00e9change \u00e9quitable sur la diversit\u00e9.
SpeakL_out doit \u00eatre un contrepoids \u00e0 cette \u00e9volution. Ensemble, nous voulons rendre notre ville plus diversifi\u00e9e et faire tomber les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s. Nous voulons cr\u00e9er un r\u00e9seau interculturel sans pour autant nous renier nous-m\u00eames.
Tu fais partie du r\u00e9seau medien.vielfalt ! Quels sont tes diff\u00e9rents r\u00f4les ?<\/strong>
Je suis donc la coordinatrice radio de Radio T \u00e0 Chemnitz et j’aimerais bien rejoindre l’association qui se cr\u00e9e \u00e0 partir du r\u00e9seau. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, je trouve que c’est bien qu’il y ait un r\u00e9seau qui montre aux migrants qu’ils ne sont pas seuls.
Et si je souhaite devenir membre de cette association, c’est parce qu’une telle association pour migrants doit aussi \u00eatre dirig\u00e9e d’une mani\u00e8re ou d’une autre par des migrants. Les migrants comprennent mieux les migrants que les non-migrants. Ce n’est pas seulement le niveau r\u00e9dactionnel qui doit \u00eatre diversifi\u00e9, mais aussi le niveau de l’association, le niveau sup\u00e9rieur qui doit devenir divers et vari\u00e9. Si je peux rendre l’association plus diverse et plus color\u00e9e avec les milliers de groupes marginaux qui sont en moi, je saisis bien s\u00fbr l’occasion et je le fais !
Quel est ton avis sur Colourful Voices et le r\u00e9seau medien.vielfalt ! ?<\/strong>
C’est quelque chose qui aurait d\u00fb \u00eatre fait depuis longtemps, m\u00eame avant 2020 et m\u00eame avant 2016 ! C’est un r\u00e9seau qui aurait d\u00fb exister depuis toujours !
Quel est ton souhait pour l’avenir du r\u00e9seau et pour ton avenir au sein du r\u00e9seau ?<\/strong>
Je souhaite que le r\u00e9seau soit plus public. On ne peut entrer dans le r\u00e9seau que par les radios libres ou par des contacts. C’\u00e9tait aussi le cas pour moi. Je souhaite que nous soyons plus pr\u00e9sents dans le paysage m\u00e9diatique traditionnel, que des migrants plus conservateurs trouvent ce r\u00e9seau et ouvrent ainsi peut-\u00eatre leurs id\u00e9es et les colorent. Et en ce qui me concerne : je souhaite que le r\u00e9seau soit satisfait de mon travail et je veux continuer \u00e0 faire avancer le r\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous, les „Colourful Voices“, sommes des journalistes issus de la migration et de l’asile. Sous l’\u00e9gide du „netzwerk medien.vielfalt !“, nous faisons entendre nos voix gr\u00e2ce au pouvoir des m\u00e9dias et nous nous cr\u00e9ons une repr\u00e9sentation dans le contexte m\u00e9diatique allemand. Nous rapportons des points de vue et des perspectives que l’on trouve rarement dans les m\u00e9dias grand public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’anthropoc\u00e8ne, une \u00e9preuve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Le courage d’agir – le savoir et l’\u00e9ducation comme moteur d’une transformation sociale ?<\/strong>
A l’\u00e8re de l’anthropoc\u00e8ne, les questions relatives au pass\u00e9, au pr\u00e9sent et \u00e0 l’avenir changent. Comment l’histoire de l’industrialisation et de la modernisation est-elle racont\u00e9e aujourd’hui ? Comment communiquer un pr\u00e9sent et un avenir (angoissants) ? La science et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile peuvent-elles initier une „grande transformation“ ? Et surtout : d’o\u00f9 vient le courage de continuer malgr\u00e9 les nouvelles d\u00e9vastatrices et de se battre pour une „bonne vie“ ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Ce sont les questions auxquelles se consacreront Pauline Menghini du „netzwerk medien.vielfalt !“ dans le domaine activiste, Philipp Mittnik de l’universit\u00e9 de Vienne dans le domaine de la didactique de la politique et de l’histoire et Markus Szaguhn du centre KIT de Karlsruhe dans le domaine de la durabilit\u00e9 transformative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Nothing about us without us“ – the network exhibition in Witzenhausen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


„We are media makers with experience of flight or migration. We experience racism and discrimination. There is a lot of talk about us, but almost never with us.“ Since 2020, the netzwerk medien.vielfalt! has been a nationwide radio and media project that not only takes a critical look at existing gaps in the German media landscape, but also actively fills them itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


With the exhibition „nothing about us without us“, media makers and radio editors of the network give insights into their work in free radio, but also as podcasters or social media activists. The exhibition also explores the question of how reporting, journalistic (non-)diversity and media representation are connected and what ideas and needs there are to change something about the existing conditions. And of course the exhibition provides insights into the netzwerk medien.vialfalt! network and its joint activities and experiences as a nationwide association of radio and media professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The exhibition will be on display at Br\u00fcckenstra\u00dfe 14 in Witzenhausen from 5 p.m. on 16 July. At 7 pm Saher Iskaf will give an introduction to the netzwerk medien.vielfalt! in the Stadtraum (Ermschwerder Str. 6) and show his short film „Zimmer 111“. The film is about a flight from Syria to Germany and the difficulty of arriving alone in a foreign country as a minor. After the screening, there will be space for exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The exhibition can be seen in Witzenhausen until 7 August. As part of the exhibition, the Kopiloten from Kassel will offer an introductory workshop on radio making. More information on this will be announced later.

A portrait of the editor and activist Fatima Maged<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Fatima Maged you are a BFD student and editor at Radio T in Chemnitz. What words describe you?
<\/strong>Loud, laughing and clumsy.
What is important to know about you if people want to get to know you?
<\/strong>Communication is the most important thing for me. But to your question about what people should know about me: I had a very difficult childhood, marked by violence and also by many hospital stays and operations. That doesn’t mean an easy childhood and that’s why I always have to try to stay positive. Everyone has experienced shit in their life. Some less, some more. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who have experienced more, but a shitty childhood is not an excuse to be a shitty person or to mope around. I very often have to fight to stay positive. Especially in the last year, I had to fight my positivity back.
What are issues that are very important to you?
<\/strong>Integration, inclusion, children’s rights, psychology, feminism and animal rights.
You founded the SpeakL_out editorial team in July. What is the concept behind the programme?
<\/strong>In the discourse about people with a migration background, people still talk about them instead of with them. Migrants are still not included enough in the issues that shape the way we all live together. As a result, the people concerned feel misunderstood or even pushed into a corner, which makes a fair exchange about diversity difficult.SpeakL_out is meant to be a counter to this development. Together we want to make our city more diverse and reduce prejudices. We want to create intercultural networking without denying ourselves.
You are part of the media.diversity! network. What are your different roles there?
<\/strong>Well, I am the radio coordinator of Radio T in Chemnitz and I would like to join the association that is being newly founded out of the network. In general, I think it’s good that there is a network that shows migrants that they are not alone.
And why I would like to become a member of this association now is that of course such an association for migrants must also be run by migrants in some way. Migrants understand migrants better than non-migrants. Not only the editorial level should be diverse, but also the association level, the level above it should be diverse and multifaceted. If I can make the association more diverse and colourful with the thousands of marginalised groups in me, then of course I will take the opportunity and do it!
What is your opinion on Colourful Voices and the netzwerk medien.vielfalt! ?
<\/strong>It is something that should have happened long ago, even before 2020 and even before 2016! It is a network that should have always existed!
What is your wish for the future of the network and also your future in the network?
<\/strong>I would like to see more publicity for the network. You can only get into the network through free radios or through contacts. That was also the case with me. I wish that we would become more present in the mainstream media landscape, that more conservative migrants would also find this network and thereby perhaps open up their ideas and paint them more colourfully. As far as I’m concerned, I want the network to be satisfied with my work and I want to take the network further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We, the „Colourful Voices“, are media makers with migration and refugee experience. Under the umbrella of the „netzwerk medien.vielfalt!“ we raise our voices through the power of the media and create a representation for ourselves in the German media context. We report from angles and perspectives that are rarely found in the mainstream media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The following collection has been selected from the diverse radio programmes and podcasts in our multilingual editorial offices. Topics in the collection include Turkey’s offensive on Kurdistan, an activist’s perspective from Turkey, Tareq Alaow’s perspective on the war in Ukraine and the situation of refugees in Germany, the initiative „Not without us 14%“, a contribution to the No Lager conference and a contribution on experiences of racism in Freiburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Anthropocene Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Courage to act – Knowledge and education as a motor for social transformation?
<\/strong>In the age of the Anthropocene, questions about the past, present and future are changing. How is the story of industrialisation and modernisation told today? How can a (frightening) present and future be communicated? Can science and civil society initiate a „Great Transformation“? And above all: where does the courage come from to carry on despite devastating news and to fight for a „Good Life“?<\/p>\n\n\n\n


These are questions that will be addressed by Pauline Menghini from the activist field of „netzwerk medien.vielfalt!“, Philipp Mittnik from the field of political and historical didactics from the University of Vienna and Markus Szaguhn from the field of transformative sustainability from the KIT Centre Karlsruhe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
