Über die Ausstellung
„Wir sind Medienmacher:innen mit Flucht-oder Migrationserfahrung. Wir erleben Rassismus und Diskriminierung. Über uns wird viel gesprochen, aber fast nie mit uns.“ Mit dem netzwerk medien.vielfalt! gibt es seit 2020 ein bundesweites Radio-und Medienprojekt, das nicht nur bestehende Leerstellen in der deutschen Medienlandschaft kritisch in den Blick nimmt, sondern diese aktiv selbst füllt.
Mit der Ausstellung geben Medienmacher:innen und Radioredaktionen des Netzwerks Einblicke in ihre Arbeit im Freien Radio, aber auch als Podcaster:innen oder als Social Media Aktivist:innen. Die Ausstellung geht zu dem der Frage nach, wie Berichterstattung, journalistische (Nicht-)Vielfalt und mediale Repräsentation zusammenhängen und welche Ideen und Bedarfe es ganz praktisch gibt um an den bestehenden Verhältnissen etwas zu ändern. Und die Ausstellung gewährt natürlich Einblicke in das netzwerk medien.vialfalt! und in die gemeinsamen Aktivitäten und Erfahrungen als bundesweiter Zusammenschluss von Radio- und Medienschaffenden.
Die Ausstellung ist multimedial und interaktiv. Neben Grafiken, Illustrationen, Fotos und Texten finden sich in der Ausstellung auch mehrere Video- und Hörstationen. In einem mobilen Radiostudio können die Besucher:innen selbst am Mikro aktiv werden und eigenen Aufnahmen machen.
Die Ausstellung richtet sich sowohl an Menschen mit als auch ohne Flucht- und Migrationserfahrungen. Die Ausstellungstafeln sind auf Deutsch. Alle Texte und Informationen können in vier weiteren Sprachen in einem jeweiligen Begleitheft nachgelesen werden. Die Ausstellung ist insgesamt auf Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, Arabisch und Persisch.

About the exhibition
„We are media makers with experience of flight or migration. We experience racism and discrimination. There is a lot of talk about us, but almost never with us.“ Since 2020, the netzwerk medien.vielfalt! has been a nationwide radio and media project that not only takes a critical look at existing voids in the German media landscape, but also actively fills them itself.
With the exhibition, media makers and radio editors of the network give insights into their work in free radio, but also as podcasters or social media activists. The exhibition also explores the question of how reporting, journalistic (non-)diversity and media representation are connected and what ideas and needs there are to change something about the existing conditions. And of course the exhibition provides insights into the network medien.vialfalt! and its joint activities and experiences as a nationwide association of radio and media professionals.
The exhibition is multimedia and interactive. In addition to graphics, illustrations, photos and texts, the exhibition also features several video and audio stations. In a mobile radio studio, visitors can get active at the microphone and make their own recordings.
The exhibition is aimed at both people with and without experience of flight and migration. The exhibition panels are in German. All texts and information can be read in four other languages in an accompanying booklet. The exhibition is altogether in German, English, French, Arabic and Persian.
